Categories - Finding the right order

In Xero, you have the option to create Categories to help classify the information a little better.

When making a connection from the Assistant, you can find the categories and enable them if you desire to map them

 

Xero does not have a specific ‘order’ on these tags. However, as we need to create mapping in Salesforce, we are forced to order them, for use in mapping later.

 

To find the category order, you can :

If you in version 0.41 and below:

In Setup > Custom Code > Custom Settings - Open the Xero Setup record.

In the 2 fields CategoryName (1) & CategoryName (2), you will find the order in which the category where saved use this order when creating mapping to documents.

In version 0.42 and above :

In the Xero Connection Tab,

Open the connection record for your instance

In the 2 fields Category Name (1) & Category Name (2), you will find the order in which the category where saved use this order when creating mapping to documents.
