Object - Xero Contact

Working with Xero Contact Detail Page:

Below is the Xero Contact detail page where we have details section on the left , related Invoices listed on the right and some button in the top right corner.

 

The button Link Account, Edit , sync Xero invoice data work with the integration.

  • Link Account- Allows you to reparent the Contact to a new Account. By reparenting it simply means you can link the Contact to a new Account, Any update mage to the Contact will sync with Xero immediately

  • Edit Contact- Opens up a Pop Up edit Screen which is exactly the same as is in Xero Interface. Any Update made syncs with Xero immediately. Any update made to the contact from this interface is pushed to Xero first and then the update comes back into Sf from Xero, So you would not see any update made in SFDC immediately

  • Sync Xero Invoice Data- This is used to manually sync the record invoices. Once clicked you can see the sync status in a field on the Contact details page under the System Informaton Section

NOTE: There is another way to set the manual sync for Xero Contacts, the field Flagged for Sync checkbox can be ticked instead to start a Manual sync for Invoices data to load, this will set the Synchronization Status field to In Progress and when the sync is complete it will updated to Synchronised on refresh

The Xero Link: you can always view the record in Xero directly from SFDC if you click on the link in the Xero Link field. This will take you to the Contact record in your Xero

Creating Xero Contacts:

You can always create Xero Contacts by Navigating to the Xero Contacts tab>Any List View(All Contacts, or Recently Viewed Contacts)> Click on the New Button in the top right corner. This Interface is exactly similar to what is in Xero (Shown below)
